Serene Retreat

A tranquil garden oasis designed for family weekends and slow summer evenings. Soft planting, generous seating zones and a hand-built water feature give the space a quiet, grounded feel.

The brief asked for somewhere the family could relax after busy weeks, with planting that would change interest through the year and need only sensible upkeep.

We laid out the space around the way the light falls in the afternoon, putting the main seating zone where it would catch the late sun. Stone was sourced from a quarry in the next county over.

The garden is now in its second growing season and starting to settle into the shape we always knew it would have. The owners send updates through every spring.
