Hillside Terrace

A sloping site terraced into three usable garden rooms, with drystone walls that nod to the surrounding Bath stone architecture.

The brief asked for somewhere the family could relax after busy weeks, with planting that would change interest through the year and need only sensible upkeep.

We laid out the space around the way the light falls in the afternoon, putting the main seating zone where it would catch the late sun. Stone was sourced from a quarry in the next county over.

The garden is now in its second growing season and starting to settle into the shape we always knew it would have. The owners send updates through every spring.
